One of my lifelong goals is to know thyself.

It’s important to me because I believe that authenticity and confidence lead to real happiness – Another way to put this is that when we have the courage to remove our masks and trust ourselves, life becomes much better.

It’s actually hard to know yourself until you spend time alone with yourself.

To think and re-examine each of your beliefs – We must ask the big “why’s”.

Just like a video game, each of us are programmed by life, through education, experiences, media, religion, politics, etc.

With 24/7 information at our fingertips via the internet we are bombarded by algorithms, trends, and ideas designed to influence our beliefs and mask our authenticity.

We are programmed to fit-in with the tribe, even though each and every human being is a unique and distinct soul.

It’s also difficult to know thyself when we are not in a state of optimal health, not only the body, but the mind, and the spirit as well.

I believe that every human being is on Earth to fulfill a specific purpose in their lifetime, and every life is a contribution to the universe.

What’s the point in spending our lives chasing avarice, fame, or an early retirement, just to get to the end and realize that you never invested the time to discover who you are?

“Death lies heavily on him, who, though to all the world well known, is a stranger to himself alone.” – Seneca
